# Anchorage Digital Acquires Payment Platform Routable to Integrate Stablecoins

> Editorial content, written by CryptoResearch.

Federally chartered crypto bank Anchorage Digital has acquired payment orchestration platform Routable, with plans to introduce stablecoin and tokenized deposit settlement for corporate clients.

Anchorage Digital, the first federally chartered crypto bank in the US, announced its acquisition of payment orchestration platform Routable on October 6, 2026. The deal aims to leverage Routable’s existing infrastructure to facilitate stablecoin and tokenized deposit settlements for corporate finance teams.

Routable specializes in handling payment scheduling, routing, and reconciliation for businesses. The platform has experienced over 100% growth in each of the last two years, with a client list that includes Veho, Ethos, and Polestar. The company has also received investment from Sam Altman and Joe Gebbia.

Following the acquisition, the entity will operate under the name Routable by Anchorage Digital. Anchorage plans to roll out stablecoin and tokenized deposit settlement features over the coming quarters, allowing these options to function alongside the platform's existing fiat payment services.

Anchorage provides regulated infrastructure for stablecoin issuance, custody, and settlement. By integrating this with Routable’s front-end interface, the bank intends to position stablecoins as a standard payment option for corporate users rather than just an asset class.

The move also includes support for tokenized deposits, which are bank deposits represented on a blockchain. This dual approach allows Anchorage to offer both stablecoins and bank-native alternatives to its clients.

The success of this strategy will depend on the integration of Anchorage’s infrastructure with Routable’s current fiat business. Additionally, the firm will need to determine the level of demand for digital settlement among Routable’s existing corporate customer base.

Anchorage previously secured a $100 million investment from Tether in February 2026, which brought the bank's valuation to $4.2 billion. The firm maintains a federal charter and holds licenses in New York and Singapore.
