# Bitcoin ETFs See $2 Billion Inflow Surge as Price Hits Resistance

> Editorial content, written by CryptoResearch.

US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $2 billion in net inflows this week, even as BTC faced rejection at the $87,000 level.

US spot Bitcoin ETFs saw a significant surge in institutional interest this week, pulling in approximately $2 billion in net inflows. This buying spree marks the most aggressive activity for these products since late 2025, even as Bitcoin struggled to maintain momentum above key resistance.

The week was highlighted by a massive session on September 21, which saw $999 million in net inflows—the largest single-day total since October 2025. This momentum continued with $715 million in inflows on September 22 and another $347 million on September 23.

BlackRock’s IBIT led the pack on September 21 with $381 million in inflows, followed by ARK 21Shares’ ARKB at $289 million and Fidelity’s FBTC at $239 million. These three issuers continue to dominate the market, capturing the bulk of institutional demand.

The recent accumulation has pushed cumulative net inflows since August 19 to roughly $4.6 billion. This sustained buying has successfully turned 2026 year-to-date flows positive, reaching approximately $320 million and marking a recovery from earlier outflows this year.

Despite the heavy buying, Bitcoin’s price action hit a wall at $87,397. The asset briefly touched this level before retreating below $84,000. The initial rally was partially driven by short liquidations, while the subsequent reversal triggered long liquidations.

The divergence between strong ETF inflows and the inability to hold $87,000 suggests that sell pressure remains significant at these levels. Traders are now monitoring the $82,000 to $85,000 range to see if it holds as support or if further downside is ahead.
