# BlackRock Ethereum ETF Leads Market With $149 Million Inflow

> Editorial content, written by CryptoResearch.

BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust captured $149 million in net inflows on September 11, driving the fund's cumulative total to over $13 billion as institutional interest in spot Ethereum ETFs remains concentrated.

BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust, known by the ticker ETHA, recorded $149 million in net inflows on September 11. This figure represented nearly 69% of the $216 million total that entered the US spot Ethereum ETF sector during that session.

The latest inflows bring ETHA’s cumulative net total to $13.013 billion. With total sector net assets at approximately $16.305 billion, BlackRock continues to hold the majority of capital within these regulated products.

This concentration mirrors the performance of BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin ETF, IBIT, which frequently led competitors in daily inflow volume following its launch in early 2024. The recent activity follows a broader trend of institutional capital moving into Ethereum via ETFs, with the entire sector seeing $1.75 billion in cumulative inflows throughout August 2026. During that month, ETHA accounted for over $1 billion of that total during a nine-day streak.

In March 2026, BlackRock introduced ETHB, a staked Ethereum ETF designed to provide traditional finance clients with access to native crypto yields. This product allows investors to earn rewards from staking without the need to manage private keys or operate validator nodes.

The $149 million inflow on September 11 matches a similar purchase recorded by BlackRock-linked wallets in January 2026. While these inflows drive demand, the structure of these ETFs also creates potential for volatility. If market sentiment turns or macro factors trigger a sell-off, redemption flows would require the sale of the underlying ETH, which could amplify downside price movements.
