# Chainlink Whales Accumulate $120 Million in LINK Following 17% Correction

> Editorial content, written by CryptoResearch.

Large holders have added over 10 million LINK to their wallets during a recent price pullback, even as some institutional interest and network milestones continue to build.

Chainlink whales have taken advantage of a recent market dip, accumulating approximately 10.36 million LINK. This buying spree, valued at roughly $120 million, occurred after the token experienced a 17% correction from its recent peak.

The price of LINK slid from near $13 to the $11.50 range by mid-September 2026. While retail sentiment appeared to waver during this decline, on-chain data indicates that larger wallets used the volatility to increase their positions.

Not all large-scale activity was focused on accumulation. One tracked wallet moved 2.41 million LINK, worth about $26 million, to Coinbase over the past month. These tokens were previously held on Binance, and such transfers to exchanges are often viewed as a precursor to potential selling pressure.

Chainlink’s strategic reserve also participated in the market activity, adding 91,100 LINK to its holdings. This brings the reserve's total to approximately 5.86 million LINK, valued at about $67 million. Over the last month, the reserve has added 511,000 LINK in total.

Institutional interest remains a factor, with the Grayscale GLNK ETF and Bitwise recording inflows and direct purchases of the token. These moves coincide with the network reaching $30 trillion in cumulative transaction value.

The network's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, or CCIP, has also seen a 260% increase in transaction volume over recent weeks.

Traders are now watching to see if the whales who accumulated during the dip decide to move their holdings to exchanges. While the 2.41 million LINK deposit to Coinbase could act as overhead resistance, the scale of the recent $120 million accumulation suggests that the market may be able to absorb such selling pressure.
