Coinbase has officially opened full trading for the Base-chain memecoin BLUECHIP, allowing users to execute market, limit, and stop orders on the platform.

Coinbase activated full trading support for the BLUECHIP-USD pair on September 16. Users can now access the token through the exchange's web platform and mobile app, with support for market, limit, and stop orders.

The memecoin, which operates on the Base layer 2 network, previously saw most of its trading volume on decentralized exchanges like Aerodrome and Uniswap V4. The token has a total supply of 1 billion and is identified by the contract address 0xb200000000000000000000cfbdf64a8706a94a01.

To reach this stage, the token underwent a three-phase rollout process. This began with an auction mode that lasted at least 10 minutes without trade matches, followed by a limit-only phase designed to build order book depth before allowing market orders.
