# Fetch.ai Deploys Autonomous AI Agents Across US and UK Universities

> Editorial content, written by CryptoResearch.

Fetch.ai is implementing custom AI agents at various universities to assist students with campus navigation and event discovery as part of a multi-year educational strategy.

Fetch.ai’s Innovation Lab has introduced autonomous AI agents at several universities in the US and UK. These tools are designed to assist students in navigating campus environments and identifying local events.

At San José State University, the project deployed Welcome Week AI Agents to help incoming students connect with alumni and participate in International Student Organization events. California State University, Long Beach utilized a Scavenger Hunt bot intended to gamify campus navigation and encourage student engagement.

The agents were developed using the company's uAgents framework, the Agentverse platform, and ASI:One. These technologies allow for the creation of autonomous agents capable of independent operation and communication without continuous human oversight.

Beyond these specific deployments, Fetch.ai is conducting educational outreach including hackathons, workshops, and guest lectures at institutions such as UCLA, UC San Diego, UC Berkeley, Stanford, Imperial College London, and the University of Cambridge. The company awarded $100,000 to UCLA to support AI research capabilities.

This initiative is part of a broader strategy scheduled to expand through 2026. By providing students and faculty with access to its development tools, Fetch.ai aims to establish a pipeline of developers familiar with autonomous agent architecture.

While Fetch.ai originated in the decentralized AI and crypto sectors, these university-based agents currently operate as AI tools without explicit blockchain or token integration.
