Fetch.ai has expanded access to its Athena execution layer, granting every account on the ASI:One platform three free projects to test the tool's multi-step task capabilities.

Fetch.ai announced on September 5, 2026, that its Athena execution layer is now available to all users. Previously, the feature was restricted to PRO subscribers following its initial launch on August 13, 2026.

Athena functions as an execution layer designed for complex, multi-step tasks, distinguishing it from the conversational AI tools previously featured on the ASI:One platform. The tool integrates with the existing infrastructure of the platform, including the Agentverse, to coordinate multiple AI agents for a single project.

The system provides access to over 50 specialized skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, research, and report generation. By allowing users to delegate work rather than simply asking questions, the platform aims to demonstrate the utility of its agent-based orchestration.

The decision to offer three free projects per account is intended to encourage user adoption by allowing individuals to experience the difference between standard chatbot interactions and project-based execution.
