# HANetf Launches First Euro-Hedged Bitcoin ETP in Europe

> Editorial content, written by CryptoResearch.

HANetf has introduced the Arrow Bitcoin EUR Hedged ETC, allowing European investors to gain Bitcoin exposure while neutralizing EUR/USD currency volatility.

HANetf has launched the Arrow Bitcoin EUR Hedged ETC, a product designed to provide Bitcoin exposure to euro-based investors without the impact of currency fluctuations. Trading under the ticker EBTC, the product is listed on both Euronext Paris and Xetra.

The ETP began trading on Euronext Paris on September 29, followed by a listing on Xetra the next day. It is physically backed by Bitcoin and carries the ISIN XS3438606090. The product had an inception date of September 25 and launched with initial net assets of approximately €247,675.

Because Bitcoin is priced in dollars, standard Bitcoin ETPs typically force euro-based investors to take on exposure to the EUR/USD exchange rate. The new product aims to isolate the Bitcoin trade by using HSBC to roll forward FX hedges daily, neutralizing currency swings so that returns track the dollar price of Bitcoin translated into euros.

The product carries a total expense ratio of 49 basis points, plus a daily FX hedging cost. HANetf noted that this bundled solution is intended to be operationally simpler for institutional investors who are already accustomed to using hedged versions of gold, equity, and fixed-income ETPs.

The introduction of this product highlights a gap in the European market, where euro-hedged gold ETCs have reached approximately $23 billion in assets, while European crypto ETCs currently hold about $12 billion in total assets. HANetf previously launched the Bitwise Physical Bitcoin ETP in 2020 and introduced leveraged and short crypto ETPs in 2025.

The involvement of HSBC as the hedging counterparty marks a step in the integration of digital assets into traditional financial infrastructure. If hedged Bitcoin products gain traction similar to their gold counterparts, the addressable market for such instruments could grow significantly.
