# Hyperliquid Leads Crypto Revenue Rankings With $429M YTD

> Editorial content, written by CryptoResearch.

Hyperliquid has generated $429 million in revenue so far in 2026, outpacing all other crypto protocols while burning nearly 5% of its HYPE token supply.

Hyperliquid has emerged as the top-earning crypto protocol of 2026. The decentralized perpetual futures exchange brought in approximately $429 million in revenue between January and September, according to data from gcko.io.

This performance accounts for a significant portion of the platform's total earnings. As of mid-September, Hyperliquid's cumulative all-time revenue was between $1.26 billion and $1.31 billion, meaning the protocol generated over one-third of its lifetime income in the first nine months of this year.

The exchange's revenue model relies on its Assistance Fund, which utilizes roughly 99% of eligible trading fees to buy back and burn HYPE tokens. By September 2026, the protocol had removed approximately 48.7 million HYPE tokens from circulation, which equates to about 4.9% of the total supply.

Recent performance metrics show weekly revenue hovering around $13.5 million, with daily peaks nearing $3 million. The platform recorded approximately $64 million in revenue over the last 30 days. If the current weekly run rate continues, annual revenue could exceed $700 million.

Hyperliquid operates on its own Layer-1 blockchain, HyperCore, which is designed for low-latency execution with transaction finality in hundreds of milliseconds. The platform facilitates perpetual futures trading, with peak daily volume reaching billions of dollars.

The protocol's reliance on a buyback-and-burn mechanism creates a specific competitive dynamic. Because the platform uses its income to burn tokens rather than building a traditional treasury, it lacks a significant financial cushion should trading volume experience a sharp decline.
