# Sentora Proposes Isolated Aave V4 Hub With Independent Risk Control

> Editorial content, written by CryptoResearch.

Sentora has submitted a governance proposal to operate an isolated Aave V4 Hub on Ethereum, granting the firm control over collateral and risk parameters while the Aave DAO retains contract ownership.

Sentora is seeking to manage an isolated Aave V4 Hub and its associated Spokes, according to a governance proposal posted on Sept. 28. Under the plan, the Aave DAO would maintain ownership of the underlying contracts, while Sentora would hold operational roles to manage day-to-day credit risk, including collateral selection, interest-rate curves, liquidation settings, and oracle configurations.

The proposal outlines a structure where Sentora can immediately pause or freeze reserves and reduce collateral factors. For actions that increase risk, such as changing rate models or liquidation configurations, Sentora would be subject to a 48-hour on-chain delay. The DAO would have no mechanism to cancel a specific queued change within that window, though it could revoke Sentora’s operational roles through a separate governance vote.

The isolated Hub would be restricted to specific borrowable assets, including RLUSD, PYUSD, and OUSD, while excluding USDC and USDT. Sentora’s plan does not include credit lines to or from other Aave DAO Hubs, meaning the instance would operate independently.

A key aspect of the proposal is the lack of a formal monitoring mandate for existing Aave service providers. The document notes that no service provider is currently scoped or compensated to review Sentora’s submissions or monitor the instance for incidents. While providers could raise objections to new collateral or Hub deployments during a two-week forum review period, there is no requirement for them to actively oversee the market.

Regarding potential losses, the proposal indicates that suppliers of assets within the Sentora Hub would bear the cost of any deficits if a liquidation exhausts a borrower’s collateral. The current proposal does not specify any Umbrella coverage or first-loss protection for the Hub, and the DAO’s ownership of the contracts does not provide explicit protection for lenders.

The commercial agreement proposed by Sentora would split protocol revenue, including liquidation fees and reserve-factor earnings, equally between Sentora and the Aave DAO. The proposal is currently in the ARFC stage for community discussion, with future steps requiring a Snapshot vote and an on-chain Aave Improvement Proposal.
