# Traders Place Millions in Bets Against CLARITY Act Ahead of Senate Vote

> Editorial content, written by CryptoResearch.

Anonymous traders have wagered over $3.6 million on Polymarket against the passage of the CLARITY Act, as prediction markets signal low confidence ahead of a critical Senate cloture vote.

Two anonymous traders have placed a combined $1.5 million in bets against the CLARITY Act becoming law by the end of 2026. These wagers were placed on the prediction platform Polymarket, with one account contributing approximately $818,000 and another $677,000 toward the outcome that the bill will fail to pass.

The total volume of bets against the legislation across six identified wallets has surpassed $3.6 million. These positions were established shortly before a Senate cloture vote scheduled for September 15 at 2:15 p.m. ET. The vote requires 60 senators to agree to advance the bill to a final floor vote.

The CLARITY Act, or H.R. 3633, aims to establish a regulatory framework by dividing oversight responsibilities between the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The bill previously passed the House with a 294-134 vote on July 17, 2025, and was advanced by the Senate Banking Committee by a 15-9 vote on May 14, 2026.

Legislative progress has been hindered by disagreements regarding ethics provisions for public officials holding digital assets and debates over stablecoin yield provisions. If the Senate fails to secure 60 votes for cloture, the CLARITY Act will be shelved for the remainder of the 2026 legislative session, delaying comprehensive crypto market structure regulation until at least 2027.
