# US Bitcoin ETF Inflows Slow to $31 Million as BTC Tests Supply Barrier

> Editorial content, written by CryptoResearch.

US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded their smallest daily inflow in an eight-session streak on Monday, as institutional demand cooled while BTC faces a significant supply zone.

US spot Bitcoin ETFs saw a sharp decline in demand on Sept. 28, recording just $31.07 million in net inflows. While this extended the current positive streak to eight trading sessions, it represents a significant drop from the nearly $1 billion in daily inflows seen on Sept. 21.

Data from SoSoValue shows that BlackRock’s IBIT led the session with $54.84 million in inflows, bringing its total holdings back above 800,000 BTC. Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust added $10.32 million, while Fidelity’s FBTC saw $10.90 million in outflows and Grayscale’s GBTC recorded $23.19 million in outflows.

Despite the recent slowdown, the broader weekly figures remain strong. The funds attracted $2.4 billion last week, marking the largest weekly inflow of 2026 and the strongest since October 2025. These inflows have pushed 2026 net flows into positive territory at approximately $1.01 billion, with month-to-date inflows reaching $2.73 billion.

The cooling institutional demand comes as Bitcoin stalls near a major supply cluster. Trading around $84,000, BTC is currently testing a price zone between $84,000 and $85,000 where Glassnode reports a heavy concentration of long-term-holder supply.

Glassnode noted that this concentration could trigger increased sell pressure as holders reach breakeven or move into profit. The firm stated that Bitcoin needs to clear and hold above this range to sustain its upward momentum.

With ETF inflows shrinking, there is less institutional capital available to absorb potential selling at this level. Monday’s $31 million inflow was equivalent to fewer than 400 BTC, a stark contrast to the more than 11,000 BTC absorbed during the peak of last week’s inflows.

Market participants are now watching to see if ETF demand picks up again. A resurgence in inflows could provide the necessary support to clear the $84,000 to $85,000 barrier, while a continued decline or shift to outflows may leave the rally vulnerable to further stalling.
