Anthropic Picks Nasdaq for IPO Targeting $2 Trillion Valuation
AI lab Anthropic has selected Nasdaq for its upcoming public listing, with the company aiming for an October debut and a valuation near $2 trillion.
Anthropic has officially selected Nasdaq as the exchange for its initial public offering. The company filed a draft S-1 registration statement with the SEC on June 1, 2026, setting the stage for a potential market debut in October 2026.
The firm is targeting a valuation of approximately $2 trillion. This follows a $65 billion Series H funding round in May 2026 that left the company with a $965 billion valuation.
The IPO is expected to raise between $60 billion and $100 billion. Nvidia is reportedly considering a $10 billion investment in the offering, which is being led by underwriters Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and Morgan Stanley.
Anthropic reported an annualized revenue run rate of over $65 billion as of the end of July 2026. However, the company also recorded net losses of nearly $42 billion throughout 2025.
The company plans to begin its roadshow in mid-October, aiming to complete the listing before the US midterm elections in November. Founded by former OpenAI researchers including CEO Dario Amodei and President Daniela Amodei, Anthropic has previously received backing from Amazon and Google.
A successful listing would provide a publicly traded benchmark for the AI sector. Investors will likely focus on the balance between the company's significant revenue growth and its substantial capital expenditures.
