Anthropic Targets Mid-November IPO With Potential $2 Trillion Valuation
AI developer Anthropic is reportedly preparing for an initial public offering by late November, aiming for a valuation of approximately $2 trillion.

Anthropic, the company behind the Claude AI models, is reportedly planning to go public as soon as mid-November 2026. According to reports, the company is aiming to begin its formal IPO marketing week on November 9, 2026, with the goal of starting trading before the Thanksgiving holiday on November 26.
Discussions regarding the IPO center on a valuation of approximately $2 trillion. If achieved, this would represent a significant increase from the company's most recent private valuation of $965 billion, which followed a $65 billion Series H funding round in May 2026. At this valuation, the company could potentially raise more than $100 billion.
The company has seen rapid revenue growth, with an annualized revenue run rate exceeding $65 billion as of July 2026. Projections suggest this figure could reach between $100 billion and $110 billion by the end of 2026, a sharp increase from the $4.6 billion to $10 billion reported for 2025. Despite this growth, the company posted a net loss of $42 billion in 2025, largely due to infrastructure and compute costs.
Founded in 2021 by Dario and Daniela Amodei after their departure from OpenAI, Anthropic is structured as a public benefit corporation. This legal status allows the company to balance shareholder returns with its stated mission of AI safety.
The upcoming IPO is expected to provide a public benchmark for the valuation of frontier AI companies. Investors are likely to focus on several key areas, including the final valuation determined during the roadshow, the company's path to profitability, and its competitive positioning against other AI developers.
Market participants will be watching to see if the proposed timeline holds and how the company addresses its 2025 net loss in its public prospectus. The debut would offer investors a direct way to gain exposure to a pure-play frontier AI developer.
