Binance Appears to Shift Value Transfers to Solana Network

On-chain data indicates Binance is routing transfers to market makers and other exchanges via Solana, moving away from its previous reliance on Tron and Ethereum.

Binance appears to have updated its internal infrastructure for moving value between trading venues. On-chain activity shows the exchange is now utilizing Solana to facilitate transfers to market makers and other exchanges, a role previously handled by Tron and Ethereum.

The shift was identified through transaction tracking on Solana’s public block explorer. A crypto commentator noted the pattern on October 1, 2026, after monitoring transfers linked to the exchange.

These flows represent the plumbing used to maintain liquidity across different platforms rather than retail user deposits or withdrawals. Binance has not provided an official statement regarding the change, nor has it confirmed which assets are involved or the total volume migrated.

Historically, Tron served as the primary rail for low-cost stablecoin transfers, specifically USDT, while Ethereum was used for higher-value transactions where network history was prioritized. Solana now appears to be absorbing both functions.

While Binance has not commented on its reasoning, Solana offers sub-second finality and transaction costs below one cent. The shift aligns with broader trends of increasing institutional adoption and infrastructure maturity on the Solana network.

The potential impact on Tron could be significant, as its role in processing cheap stablecoin transfers is a core use case. However, it remains unclear if this change is a permanent strategy, a partial reallocation, or a temporary test.

Traders and analysts are monitoring whether Binance will issue a public comment and if Solana-based transfer volumes continue to rise. Observers are also tracking activity on Binance-linked wallets on Tron and Ethereum to see if those flows decline further.
