Bitcoin Pulls Back From $84,000 as Markets Eye Macro Data
Bitcoin is cooling off after a recent rally, with traders shifting their focus to upcoming U.S. economic data following a hawkish Federal Reserve rate hike.

Bitcoin is taking a breather after a strong run, with the price dropping more than 2% over the last 24 hours. The asset is currently pulling back from the $84,000 level, trading at $82,742.29.
The market is digesting recent gains while preparing for a busy week of macroeconomic updates. This follows last week's Federal Reserve decision to raise the benchmark target rate to 4%.
Traders are looking toward midweek U.S. jobless claims, as well as reports on housing and durable goods. The broader market is also evaluating the policy outlook following recent rate decisions from the Bank of Japan and the Bank of England.
In the crypto ecosystem, Solana is set to begin the activation window for its Alpenglow consensus upgrade on September 28. The upgrade aims to replace TowerBFT with the Votor protocol to lower voting transaction overhead.
Several governance events are also underway. World Liberty Financial is holding a vote on a program to incentivize voter participation, while Balancer is voting on a proposal to fork its architecture. Additionally, Decentraland is voting on a security response plan following the theft of over 1,000 Decentraland Names.
Token unlocks are scheduled for Canton CC and Falcon Finance, with the former unlocking 0.38% of its circulating supply and the latter unlocking 2.39%.
