Hyperliquid Plans U.S. Market Expansion Through Kraken Collaboration
Decentralized perpetual futures protocol Hyperliquid is moving to offer services to U.S. users by launching HIP-3 markets in partnership with Kraken, pending regulatory approval.

Hyperliquid, a decentralized perpetual futures protocol, announced plans to expand into the U.S. market through a collaboration with Kraken. The initiative aims to introduce HIP-3 markets, allowing U.S. clients to access onchain perpetual futures.
Payward, the parent company of Kraken, stated that the deployment and clearing of these markets will utilize infrastructure regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The project intends to leverage Bitnomial for market deployment and NinjaTrader Clearing to manage U.S. customer accounts.
The rollout of these markets remains subject to regulatory approval from U.S. authorities. The expansion is viewed as a strategic effort to increase market share and ensure regulatory alignment.
Prediction markets have reflected increased confidence in the protocol, with the probability of Hyperliquid reaching a $100 price target by the end of 2026 rising to 85.5%. This is an increase from the 80% odds recorded 24 hours prior.
Market participants are expected to monitor future regulatory decisions, as these will determine the timeline for the HIP-3 market launch. Observers are also tracking how this expansion might influence the protocol's trading volume and its overall position within the crypto ecosystem.
