Hyperliquid to Expand Derivatives Suite With New Options Trading

Hyperliquid is set to integrate options trading onto its decentralized exchange, allowing users to hedge spot and perpetual positions on the same order books.

Hyperliquid is expanding its derivatives offerings by adding options to its decentralized exchange platform. Founder Jeff announced the move at the Blockworks Digital Asset Summit, noting that the integration will allow users to hedge spot and perpetual futures positions using the same order books.

The platform currently operates on its own Layer-1 blockchain, HyperCore, which already supports spot and perpetual futures. This addition is intended to provide users with a more robust set of tools for risk management and strategy execution.

Hyperliquid saw significant activity in 2025, processing approximately $2.9 trillion in volume. The platform currently holds about 59-60% of the on-chain derivatives open interest.

Market participants are monitoring the development, with current market pricing indicating a 76% probability that Hyperliquid will reach $100 by the end of 2026. This sentiment follows recent institutional interest and positive coverage of the platform.

Traders are now watching for further details regarding the official timeline for the options rollout. Future updates on potential partnerships or collaborations, alongside the broader market response to the expanded offerings, will be key factors to track as the year-end approaches.
