Robinhood Reports 24% Monthly Increase in Daily Crypto Trading Volume
Robinhood saw its daily crypto trading volume rise by 24% in September, marking the second consecutive month of growth for the platform's crypto business.

Robinhood is seeing a rebound in its crypto trading activity, with daily notional volume climbing 24% in September compared to August. This follows a 61% surge in volume during August, which saw the platform reach $17.5 billion in total crypto trading volume, up from $10.9 billion in July.
The August figures represented an average daily trading volume of roughly $565 million. If the 24% daily increase observed in September continues throughout the month, daily volume is on track to exceed $700 million.
Despite the recent growth, current volumes remain below the levels seen last year. August 2026 volume was 38% lower than the $28.1 billion recorded in August 2025.
The platform's volume is split between two primary channels. In August, the Bitstamp exchange contributed $10.1 billion, while the Robinhood app accounted for $7.4 billion.
Separately, Robinhood Chain, which launched in July, has seen daily decentralized exchange activity surpass $1.5 billion as of early September. These on-chain figures are not included in the reported notional trading volumes.
As of August, Robinhood reported 28.6 million funded customers and total assets nearing $384 billion, representing a 26% year-over-year increase.
