TSMC Earnings Call Set for October 15 as AI Chip Demand Remains in Focus

Investors in Nvidia, Broadcom, and AMD are looking toward TSMC's upcoming third-quarter earnings call for insights into the durability of the AI chip cycle.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company is scheduled to report its third-quarter 2026 financial results on October 15 at 2:00 a.m. ET. The foundry, which manufactures chips for Nvidia, Broadcom, and AMD, has guided for revenue between $44.6 billion and $45.8 billion for the period.

This revenue guidance represents a 12% increase over the prior quarter and 37% growth compared to the same period last year. Wall Street consensus estimates currently sit at $45.8 billion in revenue, with earnings per share projected at $4.39.

High-performance computing, which includes AI accelerators and data center processors, remains a critical metric for the market. This category accounted for 66% of TSMC's wafer revenue in the second quarter of 2026. Investors are expected to watch whether this share holds steady or grows during the third quarter.

TSMC has previously raised its full-year revenue growth outlook to slightly above 40% in US dollar terms and increased its capital expenditure guidance to between $60 billion and $64 billion. Any adjustments to these figures or commentary on future demand will be closely monitored for signals regarding the AI sector.

The company will enter a quiet period from October 5 to October 14. Before the earnings call, TSMC is expected to release its monthly sales report in early October, which may provide preliminary indicators of whether revenue is tracking toward the company's guided range.

Beyond revenue and high-performance computing share, market participants are focused on whether gross margins fall within the projected 65% to 67% range. The scale of capital expenditure remains a key indicator of how the company views the long-term durability of the current AI cycle.
