A Meme Coin experiences volatility following Robinhood Chain launch
The token known as A Meme Coin has declined by over 55% in 24 hours following a period of extreme price fluctuations linked to a public dispute between AMC Entertainment and Robinhood.

The token A Meme Coin, which launched on the Robinhood Chain on September 3, 2026, has experienced a significant price correction. The asset fell more than 55% over a 24-hour period, contributing to a total decline of approximately 79% from its intraday peak.
At its highest point, the token traded between $0.13 and $0.1585. By September 5, 2026, the price had reached approximately $0.038. The token, which has a total supply of 1 billion, saw its market capitalization rise from $3 million to nearly $150 million shortly after its launch before settling at roughly $40 million.
The market activity coincided with a public disagreement between AMC Entertainment CEO Adam Aron and Robinhood executives. Aron criticized a tokenized AMC product offered by the brokerage, describing it as contemptible and threatening legal action. Robinhood executives defended the legality of the product in response.
The Robinhood Chain, which was introduced in July 2026 to facilitate the trading of tokenized equities, is a permissionless platform. Robinhood did not create or endorse A Meme Coin. Despite the price decline, trading volume for the token has remained between $70 million and $150 million.
