Crypto Trading Terminals Record First Billion-Dollar Day Since January 2025

Crypto trading terminals reached a daily volume of approximately $1.028 billion between September 2 and September 3, 2026, signaling a resurgence in active, bot-driven trading.

Trading terminals, which include interfaces and bots used for executing swaps and managing positions, processed roughly $1.028 billion in daily volume around September 2-3. This milestone represents the first time these platforms have exceeded the billion-dollar threshold since January 2025, according to data tracked via a Dune dashboard published by analyst Adam.

The current landscape shows a shift in venue dominance compared to previous periods. Solana currently commands approximately 57.4% of all trading terminal volume. Binance Smart Chain follows with 26.4%, while Robinhood Chain accounts for 13.2%. Ethereum-native activity, previously a primary source of such volume, has seen a decline in this specific metric.

Unlike the billion-dollar session recorded in January 2026, which was driven by a concentrated spike involving Genius Terminal and EVM networks, the recent milestone appears to be the result of a broad, organic increase in activity across multiple platforms and chains. Data from late August indicates a gradual build in transaction counts and volume rather than a sudden event-driven surge.

Solana's position is attributed to its low fees, fast finality, and integration with trading bots such as Photon and BullX. Binance Smart Chain continues to see demand from users prioritizing low costs and accessibility, while Robinhood Chain has captured a notable share of volume in its debut on this leaderboard.

The return of billion-dollar volume after a 20-month drought suggests an improvement in sentiment among active market participants who utilize specialized tooling for daily trading. Terminal volume is distinct from DEX or CEX volume, as it reflects intentional, active trading rather than passive liquidity provision.
