Pump.fun Surpasses Hyperliquid in Weekly Revenue
The Solana-based memecoin launchpad Pump.fun recorded over $10 million in weekly protocol fees for the first time, exceeding the revenue generated by Hyperliquid.

Pump.fun generated more than $10 million in protocol fees during the week of August 3-9, 2026. This performance marks the first time the Solana-based memecoin launchpad has reached this threshold in a single week, according to data from DefiLlama.
The platform's 7-day revenue reached approximately $12 million by mid-August, placing it third among all tracked protocols behind Tether and Circle. In the 30-day revenue comparison for August 2026, Pump.fun recorded $35.67 million, while Hyperliquid generated $32.46 million. This follows a period from late July through August where Pump.fun led the 30-day revenue rankings, peaking at $42.3 million compared to Hyperliquid's $28.5 million.
Co-founder Sapijiju noted that on July 23, Pump.fun earned $1.21 million in daily revenue, surpassing the $1.03 million earned by Hyperliquid. Since its launch in 2024, Pump.fun has accumulated over $1.2 billion in total revenue.
The revenue models between the two platforms differ. Pump.fun figures include fees from bonding-curve trades and the PumpSwap product, while Hyperliquid revenue is derived from trading fees on its perpetuals exchange. Pump.fun utilizes a deflationary mechanism where half of its earnings are directed toward automatic PUMP token buybacks and burns. During peak periods, these weekly burns have exceeded $5 million in value.
Hyperliquid maintains a total value locked of approximately $6 billion, compared to roughly $250 million for Pump.fun. While Hyperliquid serves institutional and semi-professional traders seeking leveraged exposure, Pump.fun relies on a retail base conducting high-frequency transactions. For PUMP token holders, the buyback and burn program links platform revenue directly to token value.
