Spot Bitcoin ETFs Erase $5.8B Deficit as Annual Inflows Flip Green
U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs have climbed out of a $5.8 billion hole to post nearly $800 million in net inflows for the year, supported by a six-day deposit streak and BTC pushing toward $85,000.

U.S.-listed spot bitcoin ETFs have pulled out of the red for the year, turning a $5.8 billion deficit into nearly $800 million in net inflows, according to data from SoSoValue.
The low point hit on July 13, when annual outflows reached $5.8 billion, based on CoinDesk data. Inflows have since rebounded alongside bitcoin's price, which pushed back to roughly $85,000 after sliding below $58,000 in early June.
The recovery in price and fund flows has convinced some analysts that a fresh bull run has already begun.
Around $4 billion of the inflows arrived after U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced higher bond purchases in August, a liquidity management step taken when bond yields surged to multi-year peaks.
The funds have now logged six consecutive days of positive flows, pulling in $2.84 billion across that window even as bitcoin's push paused above $85,000 on Tuesday.
The current six-day streak beat the $2.35 billion taken in between Feb. 22 and Feb. 29, 2024, but fell short of the Nov. 6 to 13 run that pulled in $4.73 billion.
Even with the turnaround, bulls still have ground to cover. The year-to-date haul of $800 million remains well below the $35.2 billion gathered in 2024 and the $21.4 billion seen in 2025.
