US Spot Bitcoin ETFs Record Inflows as Altcoin Funds See First Outflows in Weeks

US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $101.2 million in inflows on Sept. 2, following a period of inconsistent trading activity. This movement follows a pattern of alternating daily inflows and outflows observed over the previous four sessions, including a $236.5 million loss on Sept. 1, $216.7 million in inflows on Aug. 31, and $201.9 million in withdrawals on Aug. 28.

The recent activity in Bitcoin ETFs contrasts with the performance of Ethereum, XRP, and Solana funds, which saw their respective inflow streaks end on Wednesday. Spot Ethereum ETFs registered approximately $48 million in net outflows, concluding a 12-day period that saw $1.62 billion in inflows. Similarly, XRP ETFs recorded $7.2 million in withdrawals, ending an 11-session streak that had attracted $170 million. Solana funds also saw their 11-session streak end with $6 million in outflows.

Despite the recent volatility, Bitcoin ETFs have accumulated more than $3 billion in capital over the past 30 days, a period during which the price of Bitcoin rose by 22%. Bitcoin closed at $80,268 on Aug. 27, fell to $77,821 on Aug. 28, recovered to $78,553 on Aug. 31, and reached approximately $77,300 by Sept. 2.

Cumulative net inflows for Ethereum, XRP, and Solana funds stand at approximately $13.03 billion, $1.68 billion, and $1.34 billion, respectively. Other altcoin products, including BNB and Hyperliquid, reported zero net flows on Wednesday. It remains unclear whether the recent outflows from altcoin funds indicate a shift in investor demand toward Bitcoin or if altcoin buying will resume in upcoming sessions.
