Pump.fun Regains Lead in Daily Protocol Revenue Among Memecoin Launchpads

The Solana-based platform Pump.fun has reclaimed the highest 24-hour revenue position among memecoin launchpads, surpassing the competitor Pons.

Pump.fun has returned to the top position for daily protocol revenue, overtaking the rival platform Pons. As of early September 2026, Pump.fun generated approximately $1.23 million in fees over a 24-hour period.

This shift follows a period where Pons, which launched on July 13, 2026, had emerged as a significant competitor. At its peak, Pons recorded daily fee figures exceeding $4 million, at times earning nearly triple the revenue of Pump.fun.

Pons operates on the Robinhood Chain, a layer-2 network that maintains low gas costs for users. The platform also incentivized token creators by offering them 70% of a 1% trading fee on transactions involving their tokens.

Pump.fun, which launched in January 2024, maintains a cumulative revenue exceeding $1.2 billion. The platform utilizes a bonding-curve model for token launches, where prices increase according to a predetermined mathematical curve. Once a token reaches a specific market cap, liquidity is transferred to PumpSwap, the platform's integrated decentralized exchange.

Additionally, Pump.fun manages a buyback-and-burn program for its PUMP token, utilizing a portion of protocol revenue to purchase and remove tokens from the open market.
