Pump.fun Sells 47,994 SOL for $5.83M as Total Liquidations Top $848M

Pump.fun sold another 47,994 SOL worth roughly $5.83 million through exchanges, pushing the memecoin launchpad’s cumulative SOL liquidations above $848 million.

The platform, which launched in January 2024, earns approximately 1% in fees from token launches and trades. Its cumulative revenue has surpassed $1 billion, with much of that total generated during the memecoin trading surge in 2025.

Rather than holding its SOL treasury through market swings, Pump.fun has repeatedly converted the token into cash. Its sales have generally ranged from about 50,000 SOL to 130,000 SOL per tranche, including a 132,935 SOL sale for $13.75 million and another involving 77,705 SOL for $7.88 million.

Lookonchain has tracked the wallet activity, documenting a recurring pattern of transfers and sales. The average price across the liquidations has ranged from $160 to $175 per SOL. By early September 2026, Pump.fun had sold more than 5.1 million SOL for approximately $834 million before the latest transactions lifted the total past $848 million.

Pump.fun also introduced the PUMP token through an ICO in July 2025. Its buyback-and-burn model directs 50% of the platform’s net revenue toward buying PUMP and permanently removing the tokens from supply, with reports indicating roughly $457 million has been allocated to the program so far.

The recurring sales make Pump.fun one of the largest consistent sellers of SOL. Strong demand and bullish momentum can absorb that supply during busy periods, while slower trading and thinner order books can leave the market more exposed to downward pressure from large liquidation batches.

Pump.fun does not announce the sales beforehand. However, its on-chain activity allows observers to track large transfers into exchange wallets before the SOL reaches the market.
